| Resting on the coffee table in the living room of each suite at Sailor's Solace is a Guest book, which of course contains important things like why the suites have the names they do, | ||||
| A few basic
rules to insure all guests enjoy a quality stay, and the controls for your heating and
cooling comfort. |
||||
| But the most
important portion of the Guest Books are the pages where guests write about their visits
to Bayfield, the Apostle Islands, and Chequamegon Bay. s |

| What follows are a few
of those comments from the first season at Sailor's Solace. s |

| One whole day we spent at
Madeline Island. We went canoeing and swimming. We spent a lot of time at the beach just
laying in the sun, making sand castles, and just walking the beach. Thank you so much for the little treats like popcorn, lemonade, coffee, cocoa and yummy chocolates. We really enjoyed this place! |

| What a comfortable and delightful hideaway - we found we wanted to spend more time in the suites than we normally do. Made us want to kick back and really relax. Your extra special treats were truly appreciated - especially the delicious pastry. The beautiful blue sky between the green leaves was picture perfect as is the view of the bay. We appreciated your hospitality and tips about what to see and do. | July 15 - 18 Dennis & Sara Madison, WI |

| This is a cute, quiet hideaway. We love the lighthouse decor. We've been sailing for an afternoon on "Catchen Sun" and had outstanding food at "Wild Rice." Tonight we went to the Big Top to see "Keeper Of The Light." It was an awesome performance & wonderful music. We couldn't possibly see everything there is to see in just two days - so we'll have to come back soon. | July 19 - 20 Sharon & Kathy St. Cloud, MN |

| We were initially struck by how clean and organized the cabin was, and we thank you for the fresh towels and the treats and coffee. We brought a large box of magazines and library books, and spent a quiet few days reading on the couch and on the porch, sipping locally made cranberry cider and watching the hummingbirds visit the feeder above our heads. | Aug. 3 - 7 Patrick & Louisa Madison, WI |

| What a wonderful 5 days - we feel so lucky to have found this wonderful retreat. We loved everything we did! The historic Walking Tour was the perfect way to learn about Bayfield & and walk off a great dinner from Pier Plaza (their Friday fish fry is great) super food at great prices. In the orchard area found a GEM at the Good Earth Flower Farm where we met the most wonderful owner - and the charming general store at Ericksons orchard ( be sure to try the apple cider donuts - yummy!) We loved spending quiet evenings at the public beach off Friendly Valley Road - so peaceful and quiet. Big Top Chautauqua was outstanding entertainment in a unique setting. We did two cruises - the Grand Tour is a big thumbs up. We've been so impressed how the folks of Bayfield seem to embrace visitors & go out of their way to welcome them. This is truly a special place. | Aug. 5 - 11 Karen & John St. Louis, MO |

| We are very impressed with how nice & clean & new the Huloa Suite is, and also very comfortable. Thanks for all the advice about the Big Top it was wonderful and also the beach on Friendly Valley Road. We enjoyed our cruise to Raspberry Island and the trip to Madeline Island. We made use of the fire pit and free firewood almost every night. Scott and Nathan also saw the "The Bear" down by the wood pile and will never forget it! | Aug. 11 - 15 Scott, Amy, Nathan, Amber Hixton, WI |

| The most fun we had was sitting around the kitchen table playing cards. We chose to come here for the peace and quiet - which we found in abundance! | June 30 - July 1 Debbie,Todd, Mandee, Alyssa Plymouth, MN |

| We enjoyed our accommodations so, we hated to do any sightseeing or touring. The rooms were great! We had one rainstorm but it just made staying in even cozier. We went to Madeline Island one day then took an afternoon boat tour of the Apostle Islands. We enjoyed our walks at night, especially watching the deer in the park. We would love to come back. | July 15 - 17 Mike & Luanne Fort Atkinson, WI |

| ...The "Keeper Of The Light" show under the Big Top was the Best Money spent in Bayfield - this was truly professional in every aspect. Truly spectacular! We really enjoyed our entire stay. We'll be back some day - guess we found another home away from home. | July 18 - 20 Darrell & Jean Marshfield, WI |

| We had a wonderful 2 full days - the accommodations are perfect. I enjoyed being in the woods as much as by the lake. We enjoyed two rounds of golf in perfect conditions. Thanks for your hospitality and I look forward to coming back. | July 29 - 30 Karen & Mitchell Mpls. MN - York, NE |
